Joanna is well-versed in technology having been in the industry over 13 years since graduating from Marquette University where she obtained her Business degree in Management Information Systems. Later, she received her M.B.A. from DePaul University in eBusiness and Entrepreneurship. She has worked in a boutique web consulting B-to-B startup based in Chicago and performed Web Consulting assignments at such large companies as a $4 Billion Hardware Retail conglomerate, a $16.5 Billion IT, Audit, and Accounting Management Consulting Company, and a $40B+ Canadian Financial Conglomerate as well as working with non-for-profits and small businesses in Boston, Chicago and San Juan.
She has pioneered The Cervantes Group corporate technical platform and created technical proficiency tests for many application and web-based positions. She currently manages the company website, the Project Management Office (PMO), corporate Intranet and is responsible for orchestrating the collaboration efforts with The Cervantes Group and other alliance partners. She has developed and maintained many ties to the PR community in the IT Banking and Web Development sector and was recognized by the San Juan Star in 2007 and 2008 as one of the leading "Women in Leadership" and was featured in 2008 for her successes by the leading Caribbean publication, Caribbean Business.
Joanna is from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and was the former #1 ranking PR women's Tennis player for over five years, MVP of Marquette University's Women's tennis team and once ranked 32nd in the U.S.
